辛棄疾，南宋愛(ài)國(guó)將領(lǐng)、文學(xué)家，豪放派詞人，一生以復(fù)國(guó)為志，以功業(yè)自許，卻屢受挫折，屢遭主和派的排斥和打擊，被朝廷罷官閑居，壯志難酬。

公元1181年，辛棄疾被罷去了官職，回到上饒帶湖的家中，過(guò)著閑居的生活將近15年。期間，他經(jīng)常到黃沙嶺一帶游覽。這一帶景色優(yōu)美、農(nóng)田水利較好，辛棄疾曾寫(xiě)下不少有關(guān)這一帶風(fēng)景之作，而《西江月·夜行黃沙道中》便是其中一首。

這首詞寫(xiě)的是黃沙道的夜景，意境清新優(yōu)美，美得令人心醉，讀來(lái)膾炙人口，讓人一讀就喜歡，是一首寫(xiě)夏夜美景的千古名作。題目中，“黃沙道”位于今天的江西省上饒縣黃沙嶺，是當(dāng)?shù)氐囊粭l鄉(xiāng)村道路。南宋時(shí)期，這是一條直通上饒古城的官道。從題目可知，這首詞是作者經(jīng)過(guò)黃沙嶺道時(shí)所寫(xiě)下的。

“明月別枝驚鵲，清風(fēng)半夜鳴蟬。”開(kāi)篇即是經(jīng)典佳句，詞美，景美，音律美，讀來(lái)讓人感受夏夜的獨(dú)特美。這是一個(gè)晴朗的夜晚，棲息在枝頭上的喜鵲被皎潔的月光驚醒了，飛離了枝頭，空枝在夜空中搖曳。半夜，清風(fēng)送來(lái)了陣陣蟬鳴聲。

其中，“別枝驚鵲”四個(gè)字，既生動(dòng)形象地寫(xiě)出了喜鵲驚飛的場(chǎng)景，又突顯出月光分外明亮；“清風(fēng)半夜”讓人感受到夏夜的清幽，讀來(lái)似乎有清風(fēng)拂來(lái)，特別清新、舒爽，再與“鳴蟬”搭配，就更加襯托出夏夜的寧?kù)o。
