據(jù)英國媒體報道，名譽掃地的前王子安德魯·蒙巴頓-溫莎，因與戀童癖者杰弗里·愛潑斯坦的關(guān)聯(lián)引發(fā)持續(xù)風(fēng)波后，目前安德魯正被要求放棄僅剩的幾項榮譽之一。

倫敦金融城公司的民選議員已致信這位前公爵，懇請他主動放棄2012年獲授的“倫敦金融城榮譽市民”頭銜（Elected members of the City of London Corporation have written to the ex-Duke and asked him to give up the freedom of the city honour, which he received in 2012）。

該機構(gòu)表示，安德魯是憑借世襲權(quán)利獲得這一頭銜——因其父親、已故菲利普親王曾是倫敦金融城榮譽市民。

該機構(gòu)同時指出，這一頭銜屬于法定世襲權(quán)利，目前無法律途徑可直接剝奪（The corporation added that inheriting the honour was a "legal right", adding that there was no legal route for it to be stripped from him）。

這一頭銜為禮儀性榮譽，歷史上獲授者可獲準(zhǔn)趕羊群通過倫敦橋（This honour is a ceremonial title which has historically allowed recipients to walk sheep over London Bridge）。

倫敦金融城公司發(fā)言人周四發(fā)表聲明稱：“安德魯·蒙巴頓-溫莎于2012年憑借世襲權(quán)利獲授倫敦金融城榮譽市民，作為榮譽市民子女世襲獲得，屬法定權(quán)利。”

“民選議員今日一致同意致信蒙巴頓-溫莎先生，正式邀請他主動放棄該榮譽。議員團將在后續(xù)會議審議其回復(fù)（如有），并決定下一步行動。”

其他獲此榮譽的名人包括喜劇大師倫尼·亨利爵士、好萊塢影星凱特·布蘭切特、足球運動員哈里·凱恩、拳擊手弗蘭克·布魯諾。

針對與愛潑斯坦相關(guān)的所有指控，蒙巴頓-溫莎始終堅決否認有任何不當(dāng)行為（Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has always vigorously denied any wrongdoing in his connection with Jeffrey Epstein）。

隨著他與這名已定罪戀童癖者往來的更多細節(jié)曝光，查爾斯國王去年已剝奪安德魯全部王室頭銜、稱謂及榮譽。

倫敦金融城榮譽市民始于1237年，是當(dāng)?shù)毓爬蟼鹘y(tǒng)之一，最初用于授予市民經(jīng)商執(zhí)業(yè)特權(quán)，通常由金融城議員提名授予。

就在數(shù)周前，經(jīng)全票表決通過，安德魯?shù)那捌匏_拉·弗格森于今年3月被剝奪約克市榮譽市民頭銜。1987年，這對夫婦二人曾作為約克市贈出的新婚賀禮獲授該榮譽。

薩拉曾將愛潑斯坦稱為“我一直想要的哥哥”，此番被剝奪頭銜，是她因關(guān)聯(lián)愛潑斯坦持續(xù)承壓后遭遇的又一羞辱（It was another humiliation following the mounting pressure on the ex-royal for her ties to Epstein, who she once described as the "brother I always wishes for"）。

和前夫安德魯一樣，薩拉對所有相關(guān)指控均予以否認。安德魯本人則已于2022年被剝奪約克市榮譽市民頭銜。

若這位前公爵同意放棄倫敦金融城榮譽市民頭銜，將是他因關(guān)聯(lián)愛潑斯坦接連失去的又一項榮譽。

今年2月，安德魯因涉嫌公職人員行為失當(dāng)被捕，在66歲生日當(dāng)天被羈押11小時，隨后獲釋接受調(diào)查（He spent 11 hours in custody, on his 66th birthday, before he was released under investigation）。
