第23屆香格里拉對話會5月29日起至31日在新加坡舉行。英國國防大臣約翰·希利在香格里拉對話會期間宣布，英國計劃與美國、澳大利亞在所謂的“美英澳三邊安全伙伴關系”框架下，共同為無人潛航器研制新型武器。希利稱，英國將為該項目撥款1.5億英鎊、約合2億美元。
