東營是全國首批、全省唯一鹽堿地綜合利用國家試點城市，截至2025年底，當地40個片區、75個試點項目全部完工，新增耕地3.48萬畝，改造提升鹽堿耕地11.59萬畝，超額完成計劃目標，年增糧食產能7300萬斤。
