如果說這世界上有一部劇集收獲了最多國家的觀眾，那一定是 1994 年前推出的 Friends《老友記》吧。2021 年，《老友記》重聚首，我和秦驛為 Chandler 錢德勒的扮演者 Matthew Perry 馬修 · 佩里沒來而感到遺憾。而今年更令人遺憾的事情發(fā)生了，他前幾日于浴室溺水身亡。明年就是 30 周年了啊，而他徹底消失在人們的視野中。

particulars

熟詞生義

我們常用 particular 的形容詞詞性，表示「特別的」。另外，它也可以作名詞使用，表示「細(xì)節(jié)，詳情」。但需要注意的是，表示該義項時，particular 后面一定要加 s，變成復(fù)數(shù)名詞 particulars，類似 details。我們來看《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》的一個例句。

press 這里不是動詞「按壓」，而是名詞「新聞」。aide 是不是跟 aid 很像？它們倆確實有聯(lián)系，aide 正是來自 aid「幫助」，只不過它用來指人，而且專指從政者的「助手，助理」。所以合在一起指的是「新聞秘書」。

unremarkable

residuals model

residual 是形容詞，表示 remaining after a process, event etc is finished「殘余的，剩余的」。通常只用于名詞前，比如，residual problems 是指「殘留問題」，日本給全世界帶來了大量 residual radiation「殘留輻射」。再補充一個《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》的例句。
