Re-plate, a charitable sales initiative featuring second-hand tableware from Shanghai’s prestigious restaurants on October 18th, 2025, in the terrace garden at Scilla. The one-day special event is launched by English food media The Tastopia in collaboration with Scilla, Madre, Taian Table, Fu He Hui and its affiliate restaurants, as well as 8 ? Otto e Mezzo Bombana Shanghai.
這場以可持續(xù)餐桌為主題的特別企劃,將通過數(shù)百件承載餐廳記憶與美學的舊餐盤義賣活動,為「免費午餐」公益項目注入溫暖力量,每件售出的餐盤都將轉(zhuǎn)化為偏遠地區(qū)兒童的午餐,也即是除必要成本外,舊餐盤所賣款項將悉數(shù)捐予「免費午餐」。
At the core of sustainable dining, this jumble sales program is designed to re-plate hundreds of retired tableware while making a contribution to China’s charity organization FREE LUNCH FOR CHILDREN (FLC),with every plate providing lunch for children in remote areas. Beyond costs, proceeds from tableware sales will support the FLC.
「免費午餐」是由中國社會福利基金會發(fā)起的公益項目,旨在為偏遠地區(qū)兒童提供營養(yǎng)午餐。
Backed by China Social Welfare Foundation, FLC is committed to providing nutritious school meals for children in remote areas.
截至2025年4月底已累計募捐12.47億元,覆蓋全國26個省市自治區(qū)1830所學校,幫助超過44萬名兒童獲得營養(yǎng)膳食,項目持續(xù)拓展至青海玉樹、新疆吐魯番等地區(qū)。
By April 2025, it has raised 1.247 billion yuan ($175 million), benefitting more than 440,000 children across 1,830 schools in 26 regions.
關于舊餐盤循環(huán)的構(gòu)想,源于我們這幾年來的觀察。其中,大量因餐廳升級換代而被閑置的昂貴定制餐盤,往往以極低價格批量處理或直接被丟棄,這樣既造成資源浪費,又使這些兼具藝術價值的器物與大眾失之交臂。
The idea behind the initiative was born out of our watch over the years. A large amount of custom-made tableware which went retired were sold off in bulk at bargain prices or being discarded. Not only did it cause wastes, but also it failed to reach the mass market.
盡管知道各家餐廳有自己的解決辦法,可我們依然在關注這個問題。一方面,特別是對于有些年頭的餐廳,它們積攢起來的舊餐盤數(shù)量較多,除了能放進倉儲間的部分,剩下那些賣給回收商的舊餐盤,它們會流向哪里,甚至是否會在回收鏈中產(chǎn)生更大的浪費?
While we knew every restaurant has its own way of handling this issue, we continued to pay close attention. On the one hand, many established restaurants have accumulated stacks of used tableware. Beyond what can be stored, the rest often end up with recyclers - only to risk becoming more wastes in the cycle.
另一方面,很多餐廳所用的定制餐具都很美,有的像孤品一樣,即使人們想要購買,通常也很難買到。
On the other hand, custom-made tableware, often unique, is rarely accessible to those who want to buy it.
于是我們在想,是不是可以讓那些同樣覺得餐盤很美的人,有機會把它們帶回家? 兩年后,我們決定讓這個想法落地發(fā)芽。
What if those who admire these plates could take them home? That question planted a seed, and two years later, the idea has taken root.
通過此次活動,我們希望與餐廳一起探索更多元而創(chuàng)新的處理舊餐盤的方式,在減少浪費的同時,搭建起連接餐廳美學與公眾的橋梁,讓大家不僅能將精美的餐盤帶回家,而且還能轉(zhuǎn)化為公益助力。
With this program, we aim to explore more sustainable and creative ways for restaurants to handle old tableware, reducing waste while building a bridge between Michelin-starred dining and the wider public. Not only can people bring home limited-edition plates, but they can also turn them into a gesture of support for public welfare.
本次義賣活動的舊餐盤品類豐富,既有景德鎮(zhèn)陶瓷藝術家的合作款,也有像詩杯客樂(Spiegelau)等國際品牌的高端水晶玻璃杯。參與本次活動的泰安門、福系餐廳,以及8 ? Otto e Mezzo Bombana Shanghai,均擁有十年以上歷史,其限量款餐具也將以親民價格呈現(xiàn)。
On offer will be a wide variety of collectible tableware, including ceramics by Jingdezhen artisans and crystal glassware from International brands such as Spiegelau. Participating restaurants - Taian Table, Fu He Hui and its sibling establishments, 8 ? Otto e Mezzo Bombana Shanghai with more than a ten-year legacy - will make limited-edition tableware available to the public at accessible prices.
所有餐具已通過消毒處理。為踐行環(huán)保理念,現(xiàn)場將不提供免費包裝袋,我們鼓勵參與者自帶環(huán)保袋,這份為環(huán)保做出的共同選擇,恰是您我對可持續(xù)理念真實的支持。
All tableware are disinfected. In line with our commitment to environmental protection, no complimentary packaging bags will be provided on site, and we encourage participants to bring their own eco-friendly bags. This simple approach reflects all of our efforts to put sustainability into practice.

Representatives from FLC will be present on site to engage with participants. The program will also feature a lucky draw, with selected participants receiving tokens of appreciation from the initiative.
Madre也會在現(xiàn)場提供特色小食與飲品(除卻成本外的銷售收入也將納入公益款項),售完即止。
Besides, Madre will offer specialty snacks and beverages during the event (Proceeds beyond costs will also support the charitable funds) - offer is subject to availability.
