5月15日，在合浦至湛江高速鐵路廣西段南康東干渠特大橋箱梁架設現場，全線首榀箱梁架設成功，標志著項目建設進入新階段。
合湛高鐵正線全長約139公里，設計時速350公里，是我國“八縱八橫”高速鐵路網中的包（銀）海通道的重要組成部分，預計2028年建成通車。新華社發
