懸疑劇《昨夜將至》正在播出，該劇由明焱執導，王嫦、蘇來編劇，佟大為、王佳佳、馬蘇、任重、江疏影等人主演。

劇集圍繞面館老板韓棟與妻子林美月展開，二人各自藏有深埋多年的秘密，隨著林美月的過往身份遭到舊識勒索要挾，韓棟隱瞞二十年的往事也逐步曝光。一眾身負秘密、各有過錯的普通人，被命運再度捆綁交織，最終揭開真相讓所有悲劇的源頭得到了法律的制裁。

該劇播出以來，江疏影在劇中的表演獲得了不少觀眾的好評。她在劇中飾演的阿妹，是一個身處復雜環境、在人性泥潭中周旋的女性角色，帶有明顯的“惡女”特質，有別于她以往的熒幕形象。

回顧江疏影多年的影視履歷，她的戲路特征一直較為固定，長期飾演都市摩登女郎與清冷知性女神兩種角色。

早些年的《致我們終將逝去的青春》中，她飾演校園女神阮莞，溫柔內斂，是典型的溫柔系女性形象；《三十而已》，她塑造的王漫妮是心氣極高、在大城市奮力打拼的滬漂女性，也精準貼合了精致獨立的都市女性形象。《清平樂》里的王皇后，則是端莊隱忍的性格。

唯有《好先生》里的江萊行事張揚，是敢愛敢恨的富家女人設，算是她有些特別的角色。

而近些年的《歡樂頌》《夜色正濃》里，她飾演的也是獨立堅韌的都市女性。

縱觀江疏影飾演的絕大多數角色，雖然人物設定有所不同，但整體氣質高度統一，自帶精致感與分寸感。長期固化的角色輸出，自然容易讓觀眾對她形成刻板印象。

而《昨夜將至》中的阿妹，可以說是她近年來反差最大的一個角色。阿妹是女主角林美月夜場時期的結拜姐妹，多年后即將嫁給富商孫昌恒，身處復雜的人際與利益糾葛中。

劇中，她與任重飾演的繼子孫海濤有多番拉扯博弈，與王佳佳飾演的林美月、馬蘇飾演的玲姐也有著錯綜復雜的舊日情誼與利益牽絆，人物關系矛盾重重，戲劇沖突充足。

雖然角色外形依舊保持了江疏影標志性的精致，但性格上增添了世故功利、亦正亦邪的特質，和她以往的熒幕形象形成了一定反差，這也是該角色引發討論的主要原因。
