1985年，漫威漫畫拋出一個大膽設定：如果世界上最強大的英雄團隊決定接管世界，會發(fā)生什么？這支隊伍就是至高中隊（Squadron Supreme），他們最初在1971年《復仇者》第85期登場，由Roy Thomas和John Buscema創(chuàng)造，本是作為邪惡中隊（Squadron Sinister）的英雄對照版本。直到1985年，Mark Gruenwald、Bob Hall和Paul Ryan推出的12期限定系列，才真正讓這支隊伍從守護者變成了統治者。
