苦瓜性寒清熱，專門壓下上頭的肝火。經常熬夜、用眼多、脾氣急躁的人，多吃能緩解眼干、心煩燥熱。

它不單單清肝降火，還能順帶調理脾胃。夏天總吃冰飲、重油重辣，容易積食腹脹、食欲不振，吃苦瓜可以解膩助消化，溫和養護脾胃，不會加重身體負擔。

不管是中年人還是老年人，日常吃都合適，清淡少油不油膩，不用擔心補過頭上火。隔兩天吃上一回，變化很明顯：嘴里不發苦，心態平和不容易動怒，眼睛清爽舒服，心神安定，躺下很快就能入睡。
